It is both a pleasure and a privilege to introduce the 2nd Congress on Chinese Studies, organized by the Centro de Estudios Chinos Lu Xun.
One of the fundamental objectives of our Centre is the promotion of scientific research into all areas directly related to the discipline of Chinese Studies, as well as the sharing of findings of uncountable colleagues throughout the scientific and cultural community.
The general theme for the second congress, we propose that of city, without closing the door on other papers within the ample domain of Chinese Studies.
We shall address the main theme with the assistance of leading researchers and authors in each of the proposed areas. Our priority is to welcome other papers and observations to encourage a collective consideration and an exchange of ideas and experiences among participants.
I am confident that this invitation will be received with the same enthusiasm that I, as Congress Chair, express in extending this invitation to participate in our reflections.
